Single Jersey is one-side fabric, using one stitch needle technique to knit; thus, giving the result of front and back side of the product. When stretch out and leave it to pull back naturally, the edges of fabric tend to roll back in.
The single jersey could be knitted from many yarn compositions like 100% cotton, 60% cotton 40% polyester (commonly known as CVC), 65%polyester 35% cotton (commonly known as TC) and 100% polyester. The combination of different yarn type will create fabric with different weight; normally single jersey will have weight vary from 120 gsm to 200 gsm.
Single jersey is usually used in garment product such as T-shirt, sleep wear and home wear.
